Dr Marios Hadjimichael
I joined the Triscone group as a postdoc in the end of 2018, after finishing a PhD at University College London. Before my PhD, I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. Since the last year of my degree, I have been researching ferroelectric materials and domain structures, and after joining the Triscone group, I have expanded my research interests to infinite-layer cuprate and rare earth nickelate thin films and heterostructures.
I am interested in fine-tuning the properties of complex oxide materials using state-of-the-art thin film growth techniques, through strain or heterostructure engineering.
In general, I spend my free time fine-tuning my pizza and pulled pork recipes and eating copious amounts of food.
